The 2008 Association of Louisiana Lobbyists Meeting was a huge success.  More than half of two thirds of the A.L.L. Membership participated in the meeting held November 2-4, 2008 in New Orleans at the Monteleone Hotel.  The room was packed and the speakers were outstanding.  Our program will included an update on ethics, a presentation from Speaker of the House Jim Tucker, Executive Counsel for Governor Bobby Jindal, Legislative Staff Leaders Mary Quaid and Jerry Guilliot and much more.  Political analyst Clancy Dubos gave a great presentation on the elections and what to expect in the future.

There are a number of hot and heavy races around the State and Nation.  The Presidential Race may be the most significant in a very long time.  There are also several Louisiana Congressional elections that are heavily contested. The U.S. Senate race in Louisiana has been very high profile and negative.  During our Annual Meeting, we will discuss many of these elections and how the results will impact our State and our profession.  Please be sure to get out and vote and to urge your clients to get out and vote.
