The 2011 Association of Lousiana Lobbyist Annual Conference will be held at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi November 6-8, 2011.  The program will include sessions on "Ethics for Lobbyists", "Legislative Outlook" and "Tackling PAC Reform" to name a few.  See more in the Seminar section of our website.

The runoff elections are well underways. Twenty-one House Seats and four Senate Seats are up for grabs on November 19, 2011. There are a number of very competative races still in the mix to determine the make-up of the new legislature.

The 2011 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature ended on June 23, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.  The legislators headed home to run for reelection, other office or retirement from the legislature.  The session ended with a balanced budget and United States Department of Justice clearance of the redistricting plan passed earlier in the year.  Legislators left the Capitol knowing the path ahead for the election season.

Kevin Hayes was sworn in at the new President of the Association of Louisiana Lobbyists.  George Guidry passed the gavel to Kevin at the ALL Annual Meeting and Conference in New Orleans.  Kevin thanked George for his years of service and expressed his appreciation to the ALL Board of Directors and Executive Director Norman Ferachi.

The 2010 Association of Louisiana Lobbyists Annual Meeting and Conference was a huge success.  Over 60 registrants participated in the conference at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans.
